17th century, Louis XIV style antique fireplace made of “pierre de Savonnière” stone. This handsome fireplace was thoroughly carved in the city of Bar-le-Duc (one of the most important French regions in the history of fireplaces stone-cutting).
It has a crossbow shaped lintel with carved centerpieces on its lower part. Those moldings are also on jambs surrounding the whole hearth. The thin shelf above the lintel has the same crossbow shape.
This fireplace is in good state of preservation and has a French architectural wealth that cannot be denied.
Let’s imagine it as a decorative focal point in your living room. It will definitely warm up your home while adding an authentic feel.
