Louis XIV style antique bedroom fireplace

This 17th Century, Louis XIV style fireplace is made of Jaumont stone. It was salvaged in an executive home situated near the city of Dijon.

This beautiful fireplace features beautiful moldings that surround the whole hearth opening. A bolection mold flanked by a thin molding run along the lower edge of the lintel forming a serpentine shape. This molding gives a dynamic style to the whole piece. The console-shaped jambs are thin and slender.

This fireplace has an unprecedented elegance! This kind of fireplace is hard to find in such good state of preservation.
