Imposing antique stone fireplace salvaged in an executive home

This imposing 19th century style antique stone fireplace is made of “Pierre de Savonnière” stone: a natural calcareous stone quarried in the French Department of Moselle. This stone has a slight iron content that gives it its beautiful golden color.

The whole piece thrones majestically on high and monolithic console-shaped jambs. The monolithic lintel features a protruding tablet. The beautiful cornice with drip moldings is animated with thoroughly carved details.

This is a very beautiful rustic and elegant fireplace that will definitely outfit your living space no matter your decorating style.
