Louis XVI style antique stone fireplace

This antique Burgundy hard stone fireplace dates back to the 19th Century and was made by a Burgundian craftsman. It is inspired by the Louis XVI style and features beautiful engravings.

The Louis XVI style is characterized by a straight and geometric line with moldings inspired by Antiquity. The lintel and the shelf are monolithic. The lintel is animated by triglyphs just above the jambs. It is centered by fine hand-sculpted flutes, stop-flutes and circles flanked by rectangular engraved panels. The straight jambs feature flutes, stop-flutes and a vertical frieze. The whole piece sits on foot blocks.

This small fireplace will perfectly adorn a small living space.
