Louis XV style antique fireplace

This small Louis XV style antique fireplace is made of Savonniere stone. The beautiful moldings running along the jambs and the lower part of the lintel make this whole piece unique. Those thin moldings emphasize the whole square-shaped hearth opening.

The shelf is also finely molded. The canted jambs are decorated with vertical engravings and create an effect of depth. The beautifully sculpted lintel is centered by a breastplate.
