Wonderful Regency style antique stone fireplace

This wonderful 18th century Regency style stone fireplace was cut and sculpted by hand.

Its proportions and its architectural bear witness to the seriousness carried out by the stonecutter.

The wide shelf above the lintel is finely molded and perfectly fits the shape of the lintel. This last element is animated with various engravings and sculptures made by hand. It is centered by a very beautiful symmetric shell (very characteristic of the Regency and Louis XV styles). The hearth line is cut into curves and cons-curves, which emphasizes the movement of the lintel. The straight canted jambs are nicely molded and feature a band of running palm leaves on their upper parts.

This beautiful antique stone fireplace was salvaged in an old hunting lodge situated in Drôme department. It has a wonderful warm-toned patina. It is now visible in our 3 hectares exhibition hall.

This fireplace holds a Certificate issued by the French Ministry of Culture.
