Very characteristic of this period, this fireplace features a bolection molding that runs all along the hearth opening: this bolection molding starts above the foot blocks and runs along the lower part of the lintel surrounding the whole hearth line. The thin and slender console-shaped jambs sit on rectangular foot blocks. The lintel is topped by a thin shelf and feeatures beautiful sculpted details with moldings and panels.
