Louis XV style antique Burgundy stone fireplace.

This beautiful Louis XV style antique fireplace is made of Dijon stone (a very hard calcareous stone containing iron sulfide that react with water and air producing yellow, ocher, brown or red tones).

It features thick molded foot blocks topped by an imposing pair of shapely jambs decorated with vertical engraving. The monolithic lintel is animated with 3 little hand-sculpted flowers and is topped by a thin molded shelf. A beautiful sculpted Bolection molding surrounds the whole hearth line. This elegant fireplace bears witness to the architectural style of the 17th century and to the hard work of the former skilled stonemason.

This antique fireplace was unassembled in an executive home situated in the French region of Burgundy. It will definitely brighten up your living space.
