Rustic Louis XVI style stone fireplace

This beautiful antique stone fireplace was salvaged in a bourgeois country house.

The late Louis XVI style is a period during which the recognizable elements of this architectural style were sometimes modified. This is exactly what this fireplace shows us with the panels on the jambs and the lintel and the wonderful floral sculptures, representative of this rustic appearance that was very popular during this period.
