Louis XVI style antique stone fireplace with trumeau

This beautiful antique fireplace was made of calcareous stone in the 18th century by a stone cutter.

Of the Louis XVI style, this fireplace features a pair of simple and geometric tapering jambs. The jambs support a simple and rectangular monolithic lintel decorated with a flat molding running along its upper edge. The trumeau features more details. It is centered by a molded breastplate (perfect place for a frame or a painting!) framed by a pair of colonnades carved in relief. The large cornice has protruding edges and offers beautiful moldings.

This Louis XVI style fireplace with trumeau has a beautiful slightly ocher patina.

Imagine it in a large room.
