Long, deep and robust rustic-looking trough in patinated stone

This old rectangular stone trough was once a food pantry recovered in a farmhouse in Provence. It as then used to keep food dry and avoid that rodents of all kinds come and help themselves !

This ancient monolith trough reminds us of the old times and the rural life of our ancestors !

It is wide and deep enough to now be used as a massive stone planter, ideal for example, to plant small trees (citrus, olive tree..), beautiful hydrangeas or pretty plants...
