Louis XIV style antique mantle made of red marble veined with white

This beautiful antique mantle was made in the 19th century and was carved out of a beautiful red marble richly veined with white and grey. It is inspired by the Louis XIV style.

The low-arched lintel gently rests on a pair of straight molded jambs. The molded tablet is thin. The hearth is highlighted by a thick rounded molding very characteristic of this style
