Louis XIV style antique fireplace

Full of simplicity, this Louis XIV style antique fireplace made of “Pierre de Jaumont” stone features an embossed bolection molding with softened angles running all along the hearth line. This molding is a characteristic feature of the Louis XIV style. The “Pierre de Jaumont” stone is a gold-yellow calcareous stone quarried in the region of Lorraine. The slightly curved canted jambs make this fireplace very elegant. A finely molded shelf tops the whole piece.

This beautiful antique fireplace was unassembled in a presbytery situated near the city of Beauné
