Louis XIV style antique fireplace with trumeau

Wonderful Louis XIV style fireplace with trumeau made of hard stone with beautiful moldings and engravings. It is characterized by the historical authenticity of its design and the outstanding quality of its craftsmanship and materials.

The slightly curved jambs feature a bolection molding that runs along the whole hearth opening. The whole piece rests on foot blocks. The hearth opening has softened angles and make the lintel very elegant. This lintel is topped by a molded shelf.

The slender trumeau is topped by a beautifully molded cornice. It is centered by an inset breastplate with an eyebrow shape flanked by a kind of sculpted columns.

This very beautiful fireplace with trumeau will easily fit within a spacious living space.
