This antique stone fireplace features a trumeau (also called “hood”) centered by a molded frame and two sculpted columns. It is topped by a beautiful finely molded drip-cornice. This fireplace is full of simplicity and offers a geometric design (very characteristic of the Louis XVI style): monolithic jambs topped by a lintel with sculpted floral details and lozenges.
