Louis XVI style antique stone fireplace

Wonderful antique fireplace made of soft stone (calcareous stone). Its ocher patina makes it unique and strengthens its authenticity.

It is composed of two thin and beautifully sculpted console-shaped jambs with flutes and stop-flutes. The breakfront monolithic lintel is thin and has a particular shape that fits the shape of its different engravings. It is centered by a protruding caisson animated with flutes. This last element is flanked by rectangular panels and other small flutes just above the jambs.
