Antique cement tiles
The cement tile was invented around 1850 in the Ardèche region, in France. The idea was to create an alternative to traditional paving (stone, marble, terrazzo) by making easy to manufacture and affordable tiles. The robustness coupled with the aesthetics conferred the cement tile a huge success.
These authentic cement tiles could now add a charming and retro touch to your interior (kitchen floor, bathroom, hallway...). They could also be used as a kitchen splash-back or even as a picture-style decor !
