Louis XV style antique white marble fireplace
Wonderful 19th C., Louis XV style antique white marble fireplace.
This molded fireplace is thoroughly sculpted and made of white marble with gray veins. The serpentine shaped shelf is centered by a sculpted shell flanked by leaves (very representative of the Louis XV style). The hearth also features a serpentine edge. The thin shelf is beautifully molded. The console shaped jambs have sculpted rectangular panels with leaves and scrolls.
