Antique cast iron fireback: Coat of Arms of France

This antique cast iron fireback features a classic depiction of modern French Coat of Arms: Fleurs-de-lis topped by the royal crown decorated with fleurs-de-lis and flanked by the collars of the Order of the Holy Spirit and 2 laurel branches.

The modern French Coat of Arms were worn from the French king Charles VI (1380 to 1422) until Charles X (1824 to 1830). Today, those are the actual Coat of Arms of the administrative region of L’Ile-de-France.

This fireback is in perfect condition and comes from France. It dates back to the 19th century. It has an eyebrow shape.
