This antique cast iron fire back features the Modern Coat of Arms of France. Made in France, this square fire back is thick and in good condition.

The Modern Arms of France, the royal coat of arms: three fleurs-de-lis crested with a closed royal crown with fleurs-de-lis. The closed crown was adopted by King Louis XIII in the early 16th century. Its use will be systematized by Francis I of France.

These coats of arms are highlighted by foliage motifs, volutes and other fleurs-de-lis.
