Original antique semi-openwork riveted wrought-iron gate with door

This antique wrought-iron gate is rather original and very wide. In fact, it is more than 2 meters wide with a door of approx. 1 meter width. We would think that this gate comes with 3 different doors, but this is a visual effect known as "trompe-l’oeil" which means to deceive the eye.

Each span features a paneled bottom with a forged rectangle in relief. The paneled bottom of the door is centered by a lovely forged rosette. The round iron bars are topped by fleur-de-lis spearheads. The upper curved horizontal bar gives a dynamic perception to the whole piece.

This white-painted reclaimed gate offers a beautiful natural rusted patina on the surface.
It is sold as-is with its fixating hinges.
