Large rectangular stone trough with small spillway

This stone trough is ancient as evidenced by its irregular surface due to the wear of time and the formation of a beautiful natural patina.

In the old days, this kind of massive troughs used to serve as drinking troughs for the farm animals. It can now be used as a sturdy planter. Its large capacity allows to plant small shrubs (boxwood, hydrangeas, ...) or pretty flowers.

Made by a stone cutter of yesteryear in a large block of natural stone, this charming old monolith trough will withstand the onslaught of time. It does not require any special maintenance and will add a warm and authentic touch to your garden.

The particularity of this trough comes from the spillway carved out of the stone on one of its widths.
