Reclaimed Provence terracotta rectangular tiles

Lot of reclaimed pareuilles from Provence : antique terracotta tiles.

The parefeuille is a terracotta tile rectangular or square format typical of Provence. These ancient and authentic wallets were handcrafted and handmade in the years 1850-1900. They were originally installed under the roofs of Provencal buildings to allow good isolation.

These antique thick rectangular tiles can now be used as flooring : for unqiue rustic-looking floors with an inimitable patina !
