17th Century rustic stone fireplace

Beautiful antique countryside fireplace made of Combles-en-Barrois stone (a soft stone with a white color quarried near the city of Bar-Le-Duc). This antique fireplace has distinguishing features of the countryside fireplaces of the 17th C.

Initially, those fireplaces were not only used to heat living spaces but were also used as counters for everyday cooking. They therefore had to be simple and functional.

Its ogee cornice and its corbeled jambs give to this fireplace an elegant appearance.

This fireplace has a beautiful natural patina and a harmonious size. It can easily outfit any kind of living spaces. It is the perfect antique item to finalize your decoration.
