19th Century antique fireplace
Beautiful antique fireplace made of Savonniere stone. The lintel has a flat molding rim running along its lower edge. An ogee cornice tops the whole piece. Jambs are thin and nicely curved.
This 19th Century fireplace is the result of the skilled craftsmanship of the stonecutter and the creativity of the one who imagined it. It was salvaged in an executive house situated in the city of Saint-Dizier.
