Louis XIII style Savonniere stone fireplace

This beautiful antique countryside Savonniere stone fireplace comes from a farm situated in the East part of France. It was initially used as a counter for everyday cooking.

The beautiful console shaped jambs give an elegant simplicity to this fireplace. The simple monolithic lintel is topped by a shelf with thorough moldings.

Its beautiful patina and its rustic appearance will definitely add a certain “je-ne-sais-quoi” to your rural or country style home.
