This beautiful French Directory style mantle offers typical neo-classical forms. The right and massive lintel, like an entablature, is supported by Doric columns of conical form. The columns are separated from the back. The columns are connected to the right hearth by parallelepiped bases. The general appearance of this mantle is that of a Greek-Roman temple.
This antique mantle was made in the 19th century. It is made of a beautiful predominantly black breccia marble with white veins
