Louis XIII style antique fireplace with overmantel

Wonderful fireplace made of stone from Thénac (Charentes-Maritimes region in the southwest part of France). This Louis XIII style (1610-1943) antique fireplace with overmantel was salvaged from a big executive home located in La Rochelle region.

We can admire the skilled craftsmanship of the then stonecutter by the daintiness of the vertical moldings on the hood and the large molded cornice. You could easily place a mirror or a painting on the rectangular molded frame.

A rectangular monolithic mantelpiece topped by a large molded shelf tops tapering jambs.

A beautiful fireplace that will warm your property adding an authentic feel.
