Large antique rectangular stone trough with a naturally aged patina.

This beautiful and large antique rectangular monolithic stone trough comes from Bordeaux region and was once used as a drinking trough for the livestock. The word “timbre” used in the South-west part of France means long and large massive troughs.

Those stone troughs have a beautiful weathered appearance with their irregular surface and their beautiful natural patina. Today, they can be used as planters. You can easily plant shrubs, fruit trees, bamboos or every kind of flowers. Its rustic appearance and its beautiful patina will certainly brighten up your outdoor area.
