Large antique wash-house in patinated stones

This superb and large village washhouse is entirely made up of a set of beautiful natural stones weathered by time.

The basin of this washhouse is rectangular and elongated. It has large and thick inclined copings which rest delicately on a base made of large blocks of paired stones. The copings are supported by pretty massive retaining stones.

The pediment, also composed of a beautiful set of old stones, is wide and offers nicely rounded cantilevers as well as a molding capital. An old wrought iron water outlet placed in the center offers a generous flow.

This wash house reminds us of sunny Provence and the era of washerwomen. A beautiful garden decoration !
