Wonderful French Regency Burgundy stone fireplace

French Regency style antique fireplace made of Burgundy hard stone. It was made of Corton stone quarried in the city of Nuit-Saint-Georges. This natural stone is as hard as granite.

Its s-shaped console jambs have beautiful vertical panels. Its carving details fit the shape of the lintel and the jambs and make the whole piece very harmonious. The central flowered shell ornament is very typical of the French Regency style. The lintel is topped by a shelf and features beautiful curves just above the hearth. The serpentine lintel has beautiful corners.

This fireplace is made of a resistant natural stone of a high quality. This piece is the proof of an ancestral skill and authenticity working experience.
