Old village wash house

Village wash house retaining its period features. This rectangular shaped wash house has large copings. Its sloping canopy is supported by four large stone pillars and is made of old tiles, resting on an oak roof frame. Those beautiful tiles can also be seen from the inside thanks to the rectangular rafters, very typical from the area. It is composed of slightly sloping stones. The cast iron water outlet allows a generous water flow.

The aestetics of this water house echoes the sunny Provence. Its amazing stones extracted from the French quarries and its patina reminds us of the washerwomen. Nowadays, its use is merely decorative but it will add a romantic feel and gracefully replace a fountain in your garden.
