Renaissance style fireplace with straight jambs topped by the upper part of an antique Doric pilaster. The lintel with its keystone centerpiece is flanked by corbeling moldings. Its molded centerpiece was probably used for a decorative wooden element like a shield. An elegant cornice tops the whole piece.
