Antique Burgundy stone Louis XIV style fireplace

This antique fireplace has been hand-carved in a Burgundy limestone, a natural stone presenting warm ocher tones. The stone now bears a beautiful natural patina of time.

This fireplace presents a large hearth opening.Of the Louis XIV style, its is decorated with hand-sculpted fluting and opulent “boudin” moldings. The console jambs are slightly curved and rest on thick bases. We will particularly note in the center of the lintel, which acts as a tablet, a hand-carved star in relief and two reserves at the jambs' level.
