Napoleon III style antique red marble mantle

This 19th century - Napoleon III style antique marble mantel is made of a pretty red marble featuring beautiful white veins.

With its thin, molded shelf, its thick lintel that rests on a pair of straight jambs topped by modillons with scrolls, resting themselves on two reversed foliage, this mantle has a beautiful elegance and a design that is very characteristic of the splendour of 19th century Haussmannian apartments. This mantle rests on a foot block and the whole piece is decorated with molded panels.
