Antique French Louis XVI stone fireplace with trumeau and molded cornice

This beautiful 18th-century antique stone fireplace with trumeau boars the elegance of the Louis XVI style.

It features a pair of understated, geometric jambs set obliquely, supporting a monolithic lintel adorned with a barrette shelf. The trumeau is nicely hand-sculpted with a central molded frame (the perfect spot for a mirror or painting) and flanked by Doric columns on each side. The overhanging cornice is fine and elegant with its nice set of moldings.

A fireplace full of style and charm, its restrained design makes it a versatile centerpiece for any interior décor.
