Louis XIV Style antique red marble mantel

This beautiful Louis XIV style antique rounded fireplace was carved and finely hand-sculpted in the 19th century in a beautiful red marble with white veining.

The Louis XIV style is characterized, among other things, by a low-arched hearth and a protruding bolection molding that runs along the whole hearth opening, highlighting it. The lintel is decorated with frames in relief and topped by a thin molded shelf. The jambs rest on foot blocks.
