Antique Louis XVI stone fireplace with trumeau and molded cornice

This beautiful antique stone fireplace with trumeau dates back to the 18th Century.

This Louis XVI style fireplace presents a pair of sober and geometric jambs inclined obliquely. The latter support a monolith lintel with a barrette. The trumeau is a little more sculpted and proposes a molded frame in its center (ideal place for a mirror or a painting !) and a pair of Doric columns carved on both sides. The overhanging cornice is fine and very elegant with its nice set of moldings.

A fireplace full of style and charm with a rather sober look that will fit any type of interior decoration.
